Families and Staff: Due to road and temperature conditions not expected to improve dramatically by morning, we have decided to give families plenty of notice and make tomorrow, Tuesday, a distance learning day. Teachers will reach out through their designated platform to let students know what they are to be doing. Grab and Go meals will not be available tomorrow. To end the study on Weather, Mrs. Hougland’s class made and tested weather instruments. They made barometers, weather vanes. anemometers, and rain gauges.
Free vision screenings will be provided to all students at the North campus on Feb. 17. South Campus students will be screened on March 9. If your student is virtual, we ask you bring your child on the day of the screening between 9:00-11:00 AM. If the screening date doesn't work for you at the campus your student attends, they may visit the other campus on their screening day as another option. If you DO NOT want your child to participate in the screening, please return the screening exclusion form back to your child's teacher before the day of the screening. We are in the planning process of organizing high school enrollment. High Schools will come here at the end of March and talk about enrollment and we will have a day the beginning of April where students tour high schools and parents attend for a meeting just for JT. To help plan I will be surveying the student as to what high schools they are planning of attending.
Claremore is having a parent meeting for incoming freshmen parents during their parent teacher conferences tomorrow, Thursday, 2/4 at 6:30 in the HS cafeteria. JT parents are welcome to come. However, you will get the information again when they do enrollment for JT students, and it will be posted on their website. They wanted me to pass along that you shouldn’t panic if you cannot attend but are welcome nonetheless.

With Valentine's Day quickly approaching, we want to remind you what our handbook states about gift deliveries.
STUDENT GIFT DELIVERIES
Any gifts delivered to students at school will be held in the office until the end of the day. Please make sure flower arrangements aren’t in a glass container. Bus riders aren’t allowed to have balloons on the bus. We ask that you be mindful of the items that the student is already transporting home such as a backpack, lunch box, etc… Young students have their hands full while walking to the bus line or car rider line. Gifts must fit inside the students backpack if they are riding the bus home.
PTO will be selling Valentine's Candy Grams for $1. They will be taking orders until February 8th. Here is a link to their order form.

JT Families: We are still serving grab and go meals on Fridays. If you would like to order your student a lunch, please click the link to fill out the lunch form. All lunches need to be ordered by 9pm this evening. Pick up time will be from 10:00-11:00 am at the North Campus. Students will receive a lunch and a breakfast for the next day. 5th grade end of end of unit project using Lit Bits. In this STEM activity, 5th graders used scrapes, glue and lit bits to plan, build and make their project moveable. Good Job 5th grade!
The basketball game scheduled at Woodall for today has been moved to next Tuesday (1/26).
People from the Will Rogers museum came to do a presentation for the third graders and tell them about a project that they can do that will be on display at the museum during the month of February.
