As you may know, a measles outbreak is occurring in Texas and New Mexico, and additional measles infections have been reported in other states. Oklahoma has also reported two measles cases associated with exposure to the Texas and New Mexico outbreaks. We are forwarding this from the Department of Health for your information.

Sixth grade science class made Lava Lamps!
The 8th graders toured Rogers State University Friday morning. They learned about the many degree programs that RSU offers and about exciting changes on the horizon including a new $30 million STEM facility. They also heard information about taking college classes while in HS and about all of the scholarships that RSU offers. Our students represented J-T well with their exemplary conduct and thoughtful questions. It was a windy day, but no one blew away!
3rd graders participated in the Will Roger’s diorama competition! Two of our own still have their dioramas on display! Berklee Swift is a finalist and Braelyn Walker got an honorable mention! We are so proud of these girls!!! Way to represent JT!!
Next Friday, March 21st they will announcing the winner!!

Parents of 8th graders, you are invited to attend an informational meeting on March 27 at the Claremore PAC about upcoming changes for scheduling and career pathways and course offerings. There will be two sessions: 5:00--6:00 and 6:30--7:30. The 8th graders and their parents will be invited to enroll and tour the high school later.

5th-8th grade soccer will NOT be having outside practice today after school. Instead, we WILL have a voluntary open gym for indoor soccer tonight at the north campus from 6-7pm.

8th grade academic team members competed Saturday at the ORES Classic Academic Meet in Shawnee. Each student took 100 question tests in Math, ELA, Social Studies, and Science. Maddox Arnold earned 3rd place in Social Studies, Lyla Cutsinger earned 6th place in Social Studies, and Justus Tiawah placed 5th overall. Go Wildcats!
