JT JH Track Competes at Chelsea
The Wildcats traveled to Chelsea on Thursday for a competitive meet! The day started with beautiful weather but ended with rain showers—though that didn’t stop the team from bringing home some hardware!
Girls Results
Overall Finish: 4th place out of 16 teams
• Crittenden – 1st place in 300m hurdles, 2nd place in 100m hurdles, 2nd place in high jump
• Rogers – 1st place in 100m dash, 2nd place in 200m dash
• Lang – 4th place in shot 5th place in discus
. Kirkendall: 6th place in long jump
Relays:
• 4x100m Relay – 2nd place (Crittenden, Lang, Kirkendall, Rogers)
• 4x800m Relay – 4th place (Brown, Wiginton, Hill, Rogers)

It’s clear the Wildcats put up a strong performance across various events. Congratulations to the athletes for bringing home some hardware!


Parents:
8th graders will be going to Claremore High School on Friday, April 4th, at 9:00 a.m. for pre-enrollment information. This will include the bell schedule, electives, pathways, and course selection. They will also tour the High School and be able to ask any questions they may have. It is crucial for any student who plans to attend Claremore to have a parent or guardian present for this meeting. Mrs. Hibbard's STEM Class built and explored catapults this week


Our 5th and 6th graders are off to their first elementary track meet of the season! It’s a beautiful day to compete, give their best, and bring home some hardware! Let’s go, Wildcats! 🏆💪




School will be in session Monday, April 21. This is now our snow make-up day, though originally a Professional Development Day on the school calendar. We understand that travel plans may already have been made, so please reach out to the office if you have any questions or concerns about this change.

Parents of 8th graders, you are invited to attend an informational meeting on March 27 at the Claremore PAC about upcoming changes for scheduling and, career pathways and course offerings. There will be two sessions: 5:00--6:00 and 6:30--7:30. The 8th graders and their parents will be invited to enroll and tour the high school later.

Mrs. Moseley's class has been studying the life cycle of a butterfly. Today they released their butterflies and the kids loved it! There was lots of learning, laughing, and memories made!









This is a Reminder that Running Club starts tomorrow morning, 4/26, at 7:10 a.m. at the North Campus playground. Please do not drop your student off until Coach Casey is outside.

The Tulsa Zoo run is a great way to get everyone moving, have fun with the family, and support JT simultaneously. Plus, with the chance to win extra cash for the school, it’s a win-win situation. The school that has the most participants could receive up to an additional $400 cash. Each registration comes with free zoo admission for the day! And, free zoo admission also includes the entire family of the race participant. Stay tuned!! Coach Faulconer and Coach Casey will announce a JT grade-level competition. Let’s go, JT!! We like to win in Wildcat Nation!

Sixth grade science class made Lava Lamps!




The 8th graders toured Rogers State University Friday morning. They learned about the many degree programs that RSU offers and about exciting changes on the horizon including a new $30 million STEM facility. They also heard information about taking college classes while in HS and about all of the scholarships that RSU offers. Our students represented J-T well with their exemplary conduct and thoughtful questions. It was a windy day, but no one blew away!


3rd graders participated in the Will Roger’s diorama competition! Two of our own still have their dioramas on display! Berklee Swift is a finalist and Braelyn Walker got an honorable mention! We are so proud of these girls!!! Way to represent JT!!
Next Friday, March 21st they will announcing the winner!!
