The JT 5th and 6th grade girls finished their season last week with an impressive 12-2 record, with their only loss coming from Lone Star. The team truly exemplified what it means to play with heart and teamwork. Their strong man-to-man defense and relentless hustle were key to their success, and even though they were smaller in size, they more than made up for it with determination. Their 12-2 record speaks volumes about their commitment and ability to rise to any challenge. With this kind of energy and spirit, the future of JT girls basketball looks incredibly bright!
The JT 7th and 8th grade girls basketball team (along with a few of the 5th and 6th graders) is keeping the momentum going in the playoffs. JT is playing Lone Star on Saturday at 11:00 AM. It’s a big game! If they win, they’ll advance to the state tournament. There is more great basketball ahead! Come out and support these awesome ladies! Wishing them the best of luck! 🖤🙌🏻💛

Congratulations to Claire Filipek, Ava Stocks, and Riley Sterba for making the Mid-East Oklahoma Honor Band after auditioning on January 20! They performed in the clinic and concert at Oologah High School on February 3rd and 4th! Way to go, Wildcats!!

Over the last few weeks, our 7/8- and 6/7-grade academic teams have been participating in district meets. Both teams won all three district matches by landslides and will participate in regional meets over the next two weeks.

JT girls basketball will be selling surplus apparel for $2 each
Bring your appetite as well! The 8th-grade class will sell Chick-fil-A sandwiches for $6. Sales will begin 10 minutes before the first game and continue until all the sandwiches are sold out.
The soccer meeting initially scheduled for last week will be on Thursday, January 30th, at 5 pm. This meeting is for all boys and girls in 5th-8th grades who are interested in playing soccer. We will meet in the new gym at the North Campus.
Justus-Tiawah is excited to welcome Dr. Jeff McCoy as Band Director. Dr. McCoy was a very successful band director at Muskogee Public Schools and Victory Christian School, prior to accepting his current role as a professor at Oral Roberts University. Dr. McCoy will join our staff next week and we will be adjusting our class schedule to accommodate 7th and 8th grade band in the mornings. We will host a meet & greet to welcome Dr. McCoy next week, but in the meantime, you can acquaint with him through his YouTube channel: JeffScott McCoy
