Congratulations to our 6/7th Grade Oklahoma Junior State Academic Bowl Champions

It’s not too late to complete the 2020 census because reporting has been extended through September 30. We need every person in [City] to be counted because the Census helps determine how many representatives we will have in government AND how much funding we will receive for important services, like education, social services, highways and healthcare. Please make sure our community is counted! If you have not already, complete the US Census at 2020census.gov today!

With the cooler temperatures predicted for tomorrow, please put your child's name inside his/her jacket so that the lost and found isn't overflowing. We will return them to the rightful owner if there is a name inside.

You’re invited to Girl Scouts in the Park!
Parents and girls are invited to join us at Claremore Lake Park in
the picnic table area, participate in a fun activity with us and learn
about Girl Scouts! We look forward to seeing you there! September 17, 6-7 PM Have questions: 918-749-2551 or gseok.org To register go to gseok.org/claremore

JT Family: We found out this morning that we had a student at our south campus test positive for COVID. Parents in that child’s class have been notified and we have quarantined another class. I again appreciate the understanding of all parents involved. I also am impressed at how well the students handled it. As these situations arise, we will continue to work with the state health department and take the required actions.
Our grab and go meals are available to any families who are quarantined. We ask that parents reserve meals for the following day at the following link https://forms.gle/XJfEKeA2QisWqxH26
Meals ordered must be picked up outside the North Campus Cafeteria from 10:00am-10:15am, Monday-Thursdays and 10:00am-11:00am on Fridays or any school-wide distance learning days. Meals will consist of both a breakfast and a lunch. These meals are free until further notice.

JT Families: We have had one of our students at the elementary identify as positive for COVID. Every indication is that the student contracted this from outside of the school. Parents in that child's classroom have been notified and we have followed our procedures in this situation and have quarantined the class. It has not been fun keeping individual classes separated but it is situations like this that reaffirm we are doing the right thing. These are difficult times for everyone and we will get through this. I am proud of our students for following the protocols we have in place. Thank you parents for reinforcing it on your end, and thank you to the parents of the affected class for being so understanding. That's how Wildcats roll!

The lunch form link is also located on our web page. It will be in the pop up banner that appears as soon as the web page loads.

JT School: Great News JT Families! The USDA is making breakfast and lunch free to all children through December 31, 2020, but is subject to end earlier due to available USDA funds. Breakfast and lunch will be available free every day to all students effective tomorrow. Because at the beginning of COVID we did not qualify for the program, we partnered with Claremore through the summer. We have now applied and been approved for this due to certain waivers.
We do encourage families who have not yet completed the 2020-2021 free and reduced lunch application to complete it should this program end. If you need another copy, please contact the school.

Good evening parents, students, and families; Friday is our first distance learning day. Although we have not gotten our devices we have ordered, the decision has been made to still practice this should the unspeakable happen. COVID doesn't care if we have devices. For those who have devices the expectation is that you log-in and complete work in each of your courses Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday to be counted for this day. For students who do not have devices, teachers are sending paper assignments, and student will receive attendance credit when they are returned completed on Monday.

JT PTO $10 school spiritwear is available now at online store until September 20. Please direct any questions to me 918-232-6581 Pam Chandler.

We started handing out last year’s yearbooks on the first day of school for those students that ordered and paid for them already. If you contacted Mrs Gray or the school after we were out of school, your students will be in their childs office ready to be paid for and picked up at the front desk. If your student was in 3rd grade last year it will be in the south campus office and if they were in 6th grade last year theirs will be in the jh office for payment and pick up. Also we have yearbooks still available if anyone would like to buy one after the first day of school. They will be available in each office at each building. They are $25.00 and can pay with cash or check.
For the 8th graders that graduated last year, if you have paid for a yearbook, you may pick them up in Mr Crum’s office. If anyone that wants to buy one, you can purchase one in the office.
