Junior High Parents: Junior high students will be attending the Claremore Veterans Day Parade this Thursday. We will also be eating lunch at Gazebo Park and touring the Claremore History Museum. Permission slips went home today. We are trying to get a count of students that will need a sack lunch from the cafeteria or that will be bringing their lunch. Jr. High Parents: Up until this point the JH has been held relatively harmless from COVID. However, this week the we have had two confirmed cases and due to the great involvement of the students, it has affected at least 40% of the JH. We hope to have identified and quarantined those who were in close contact, however, due to the nature of JH students, it cannot be guaranteed. Out of precaution, I have decided to move all Jr. High (7th/8th) grade to distance learning Thursday (11/4) and Friday (11/5). This will allow for some separation as well as give us a chance to disinfect thoroughly. Teachers will push out assignments through their Google Classroom. If your child has been quarantined, please know the original quarantine dates still apply.
JT Family: Although we have not had near the COVID issues compared to other districts up until this point, we have had to quarantine a number of jr. high students this week. Because of this we are going to go to distance learning for JR. HIGH (7TH/8TH) ONLY tomorrow, Thursday, and Friday.
Grab and Go meals are available to 7th/8th grade students over the next two days. Thursday they will be serving Chicken Patty on a bun and Friday they will be serving Pepperoni Pizza. Lunches will be passed out from 12:35-1pm outside the cafeteria door. Please call the Jr. High office by 8:45am to reserve a lunch on the day you would like to pick-up.
Parents and Families: If you received the P-EBT CARDS and were not Free or Reduced in the 2020-2021 school year, the state is aware of this issue. They are researching it with DHS and will let us know what they find out.
JT Family: We have some fantastic substitutes but very few of them. If you are interested in being a substitute, please visit with Dana Clifton in the Jr. High Office. Thank you.
Parents and Families: Please work with us during drop off at the north campus in the mornings. Before 8am please leave the left hand lane as you are entering for those coming in to breakfast before 8am. After 8am the lane should be used for those being dropped off in front of the gym for band or first period athletics only. If the person directing traffic allows another car to go first, it is likely they are clearing the bus loop so the buses can get around. We do the best we can during a busy time. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Reminder: Elementary (PreK-3rd) Parent/Teacher Conferences are this evening from 4-7:30 PM. Also, the library is hosting a book fair until Friday, October 29. Family night is tonight and Thursday during conferences.
The JT Band/Music fundraiser will be delivered to the South campus, tomorrow (hopefully between 12-2 p.m.) Parents are able to pick up their child’s orders, after school, from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at the SOUTH CAMPUS band room.

Parents, our Butter Braid prizes have been on backorder for several weeks. We are hopeful that they will arrive soon. We will get them passed out as soon as they arrive. We appreciate you supporting the library fundraiser and thank you for your understanding!
Parents and Families: Report Cards for the first quarter will be sent home on Friday.
Eighth Grade Parents, next week we are having a parent meeting to discuss fundraising ideas for the 8th grade graduation. Come join us for S'more information October 25th at 6pm, outside next to the band room. Bring your lawn chairs and a marshmallow roaster if you have one. We will have a bonfire, s'mores and drinks. Watch for a note to come home this week with more details.

Coach Hardin participated in her first triathlon today in Dallas! She placed first in her division! Congratulations Coach! We are all proud of you!!
Tomorrow will be the last day for Running Club for the fall. We will start back up in March. Hopefully we will have decent weather and some daylight again. Thanks to all who participated!!
