Good News Club will start Tuesday, September 12, from 3:15-5:00 p.m. at the North Campus. Good News Club is a fun time to learn respect for authority, moral values, character, and life principles through dynamic Bible lessons, creative learning activities, games, and songs. GNC is open to all boys and girls in K-6th grades, regardless of religious background. Parents are welcome to attend the club with their child. J-T has received a report of a walk-away from a mental health facility near Rd 500 between our campuses. We have no reason to believe he will come to either campus, but out of an abundance of caution we are on soft lockdown (all doors locked, no unescorted students, no outside recess) until the person is located.
Starting tomorrow, the Green bus line (Mr. Kelley and Coach Starkey's route) will begin the morning route 10 minutes earlier. Again, this starts on 8-23-24. We appreciate your cooperation.

Parents: This week, because of record-high temperatures in the afternoon, we encourage you to pick up your children (especially younger ones) susceptible to heat exhaustion or overheating very quickly. Most of our buses do not have air conditioning, and students at the end of bus routes will be on a bus for the better part of an hour.
We will also remind all students to fill their water containers before they get on their bus.

Good Morning. Bus 11 is running late this morning and it will be a Claremore bus that will be picking students up.
Due to the high heat index, Softball games @ Sequoyah, tomorrow 8/22, have been moved to 6:30 PM. The girls need to go home like normal and be back at the back at the NORTH CAMPUS @ 5:20. If this is an issue for anyone, please let Coach Casey know.

Families will begin in the David Garroutte Gym Lobby. You can complete a lunch application, arrange transportation (bus and car riders), complete medication forms, and sign up for Good News Club, Wildcat Care, PTO, or Grand Mental Health. Once you have checked in at all booths, you will be given your student's classroom assignment or schedule.

Running Club starts on August 22nd at 7 am at South Campus Soccer Field! It's an excellent opportunity for students to learn about fitness and run/jog/walk laps to earn tokens for their progress. We are using technology to track laps this year, so please send Coach Hardin an email (jhardin@justustiawah.com) with your child's name before the first day to get set up. Cheerleaders: The first cheerleading practice will be on Tuesday, August 15th, after school at the south campus. Meet in room 13. 7th-8th grade is to shuttle south. 5th-6th grade should stay at the south campus after school. Practice will end at 4:30.
